How to Live – Video and Performance

Exploring the notion of “minor rupture”, Dave Ball’s work enacts a breaking free from straight-jacketing performed through novel and humorous ways of thinking, seeing, and behaving. Through an extended testing of the visual and philosophical possibilities of “doing stuff” – via a critical inhabitation of the city of Berlin – the video work ‘How to Live’ attempts to derail the smooth running of sense seemingly inherent in the way things are.
