„Dr. Gordon“
Documentation
of an installation using
23 slide projectors, 6 video sequences, and a voice-over-poem
„Dr. Gordon“ is a three-dimensional accessible science fiction
– and a medial overload. Moving- and still images are being projected
on and through cardbord boxes, showing fictional and real urban sceneries.
Inspired by literary and cinematic classics, such as „Neuromancer“,
„1984“, „Futurologischer Kongress“, or „Blade
Runner“, the creation becomes an ensemble of over-boarding visual
cross-references, accompanied by the narrator „Dr. Gordon“’s
stories which tell about surveillance and the dissolution of the private
sphere.
