Description
A collaboration with Roni Kaufman e-merging is a physical inquiry into the dissolving frontiers between the organic and the artificial.
Wooden branches are screwed into rusting iron rods to create a modular forest, through which orange cables are threaded, generating localised
electromagnetic fields, invisible yet perceivable via magnets or compasses. These fields also animate the piece, as digital leaves cyclically decompose and resurrect on e-paper displays.
Through this (re)constructed ecosystem, e-merging proposes that the relationship between nature and technology is an evolving continuum, rather than a binary conflict.
